The Dow moved into positive territory on Friday, boosted by defensive sectors like pharmaceuticals.
The Dow Jones industrial average gained 28 points (0.32%) to 8,799.26. The Standard & Poor's 500 Index gained one points( 0.14%) to 946.21. The Nasdaq Composite Index dropped three points( 0.19%) to 1,858.80.
All the Indian ADRs on Friday ended on a negative note.
Satyam plunged 14.6% to $3.67 and MTNL slumped 7.5% to $4.54.
Wipro slipped 5% to $12.28. Tata Communications and Patni Computers declined 4% each to $21.15 and $10.04, respectively.

ICICI Bank and HDFC Bank were down around 2.5% each at $31.14 and $106.70, respectively.
Tata Motors was down 2% at $10.38.
Infosys, Genpact and Sterlite were marginally flat at $37.12, $11.26 and $14.71, respectively.
