Jeera futures for April rose by Rs 40, or 0.29% to Rs 13,677.50 per quintal in 13,392 lots.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange (NCDEX), the May contract edged up by Rs 27.50, or 0.20% to Rs 13,780 per quintal in 2,082 lots.
Prices rose as speculators enlarged their positions, driven by pick up in exports demand.
However, higher output expectations this season, limited the gains.
