Markets up in opening trades; Reliance leads

The NSE Nifty is up 24 points at 4,277.

Reliance has surged 2.2% to Rs 2,182.

Larsen & Toubro and Satyam have rallied 2% each to Rs 2,360 and Rs 454, respectively.

HDFC, Jaiprakash Associates and Infosys have also moved up nearly 2% each to Rs 2,210, Rs 158 and Rs 1,780, respectively.

Hindustan Unilever has shed 1.6% at Rs 212.

Bharti Airtel, Maruti and Grasim are down over 1% each to Rs 770, Rs 686 and Rs 2,030, respectively.
