Mentha oil rises 1.4% on fresh buying

Mentha oil prices for delivery in August rose by 1.3%

Mentha oil futures prices today rose by 1.40% to Rs 972.60 per kg as traders created fresh positions, driven by pick up in industrial demand at spot market.

Restricted arrivals from Chandausi in Uttar Pradesh also influenced mentha oil prices at futures trade.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, mentha oil prices for delivery in July gained Rs 13.50, or 1.40%, to Rs 972.60 per kg, with a trading volume of 605 lots.

Similarly, mentha oil prices for delivery in August rose by Rs 12.70, or 1.30%, to Rs 984.90 per kg, with a business turnover of 129 lots.

Marketmen said fresh positions created by traders, following pick up in spot demand and lower arrivals from Chandausi in Uttar Pradesh, mainly pushed up the prices of mentha oil at futures trade.
