Mentha oil slips 0.56%

Profit-booking caused the downtrend

Mentha oil prices declined by Rs 8.20 to Rs 1,459 per kg in futures trade today.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, the February contract declined by Rs 8.20, or 0.56% to Rs 1,459 per kg in 79 lots.

Likewise, the January contract shed Rs 4.50, or 0.31% to Rs 1,448.60 per kg in 1,011 lots.

Marketmen said profit-booking by speculators after recent gains amid a subdued demand in the spot market led to the fall.
