New norm for PDS delivery

The department of food and public distribution to streamline, Public Distribution System, has decided to make it mandatory for vehicles carrying PDS articles from centralised godown to fair-price shops of various states and union territories to display details about the items they are carrying, said a government press release.

The vehicle is required to display words like "On Ration Duty", followed by destination and the commodity being carried.
