Power stocks rallied after the initial public offering from India's top power producer, National Thermal Power Corporation Ltd, received a thumping response on its opening day.

Tata Power Company Ltd rose 4.76 per cent to Rs 331.30, Neyveli Lignite Corporation Ltd. jumped 4.35 per cent to Rs 64.80.
