Markets ended on a negative note this Tuesday on back of selling pressure witnessed in banking shares after HDFC Bank, country’s third-biggest lender, for the first time posted profit which was below 30% in a decade.

Provisionally, the 30-share Sensex fell 89.58 points to end at 20,517.96 and the 50-share Nifty declined 32.80 points at 6,079.90  levels.
