Refined soya down 0.6% on slack demand

The oil for delivery in July contract traded lower by 0.66%

Refined soya oil prices fell by 0.69% to Rs 666.90 per 10 kg in futures trade today after participants reduced their exposures amid slackened demand in the spot market.

At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined soya oil for delivery in far-month August fell by Rs 4.60, or 0.69%, to Rs 666.90 per 10 kg with an open interest of 92,780 lots.

Similarly, the oil for delivery in July contract traded lower by Rs 4.45, or 0.66% to Rs 674.90 per 10 kg in 62,340 lots.

Market analysts attributed the fall in refined soya oil futures to slackened demand in the spot market against adequate stocks.
