Select copra firms up on rising demand

Copra Alapuzha and copra Kozhikode prices firmed up further at the spices market here today on sustained demand from stockists and retail consumers.

However, other spices closed steady owing to lack of buying support.

Copra office Alapuzha gained by Rs 50 per quintal to Rs 5,650 from overnight closing level of Rs 5,600 and copra office Kozhikode moved up by Rs 25 per quintal to Rs 5,525, as compared with Rs 5,500 yesterday.

Black pepper (per kilo) 225/243 (225/243), ginger bleached (per kilo) 230 (230), ginger unbleached (per kilo) 245 (245), copra office Alapuzha (per quintal) 5,650 (5,600)

copra office Kozhikode (per quintal) 5,525 (5,500), copra Rajapur Mumbai (per quintal) 6,900 (6,900) and copra edible Mumbai (per quintal) 6,300 (6,300)
