Sensex down 192pts; Hindalco down 3.2%

The Sensex is now trading at 17,242 points, down 192 points. The Nifty is down 55 at 5101. 

Infosys has gained 1.4% to Rs 1,898.Satyam, Tata Motors and ACC are trading above half per cent. Tata Steel, Ranbaxy and Reliance Communications are the other gainers.

Reliance Infra is down 3.7% at Rs 1,407. Jaiprakash Associates has declined 3.4%  to Rs 260.

Hindalco is down  3.2% at Rs 197. Bharti Airtel and Bhel are down above 2.8% at Rs 826 and Rs 1,744 respectively.

Ambuja Cements and NTPC have declined 2.5% at  Rs 108 and Rs 186 respectively.

ICICI Bank,Wipro, HDFC Bank TCS, SBI, ONGC, DLF and L&T are the other major losers.
