Sensex down 26pts; Ranbaxy, Dr.Reddy's hold fort

The Sensex is now down 26 points at 11,681.

Ranbaxy has gained 1.5% at Rs 402. Dr.Reddy's and HDFC have advanced 1% each to Rs 720 and Rs 1,303, respectively.

Reliance Communications has slipped over 2% to Rs 303. NTPC and Tata Steel have dropped 1.8% each to Rs 125 and Rs 508, respectively.

Bharti Airtel and Reliance Energy have declined 1.4% each to Rs 409 and Rs 442, respectively.

Hindalco and Gujarat Ambuja are down 1% each at Rs 174 and Rs 114, respectively.

Out of 2,431 stocks traded so far, 1,457 have declined, 888 have advanced and the rest are unchanged.
