Sensex drops 55pts; HLL soars 7%

The Sensex slipped to a low of 10,092, and is now down 55 points at 10,118.

HLL has soared over 7% to Rs 224. BajajAuto has rallied 4.5% to Rs 2,322.

HDFC Bank and Bharti Tele have advanced 1.5% each to Rs 757 and Rs 369, respectively.

Larsen & Toubro has dropped 3.8% to Rs 2,405. Cipla has tumbled 3.5% to Rs 545.

Tata Motors and Satyam have slipped 2.5% each to Rs 771 and Rs 739, respectively.

Wipro, Tata Steel, Hindalco, Ranbaxy, TCS, Tata Power, ICICI Bank, SBI, Infosys and NTPC have declined 1-2% each.

Out of 2,532 stocks traded so far, 1,248 have declined, 1,215 have advanced and 69 are unchanged.
