Sensex ends up 533pts

The Sensex ended (provisional) at 14,783, up 533 points.

The Sensex pared some gains but has rebounded to a high of 484 points to 14,734.

Mahindra & Mahindra has soared nearly 7% to Rs 769.

Hero Honda, Reliance Infrastructure and Jaiprakash Associates have rallied 6.5% each to Rs 1,639, Rs 1,126 and Rs 210, respectively.

Tata Motors, ICICI Bank and Bharti Airtel have surged 5.5% each to Rs 312, Rs 734 and Rs 827, respectively.

HDFC, Tata Power, ITC, DLF, Infosys,Wipro, Larsen & Toubro and HDFC Bank are the other gainers.

Sterlite, NTPC and Reliance are marginally down.

The market breadth is extremely positive - out of 2,709shares traded, 1,764 have advanced and 860 have declined.
