Continuing its on-going rally, the Sensex opened with yet another positive gap of 112 points at 10,916. Volatility in early trades saw the index slip marginally into red to 10,801.

However, profit-taking in the last half-hour of trades saw the Sensex pare gains and finally end at 10,967, up 163 (1.5%) points. In the process, the index has now gained 14.6% (1,399 points) in the last seven trading sessions.
The Mid-cap and Small-cap indexes once again out-performed the frontline index. The Mid-cap index soared over 3% to 3,465, and the Small-cap index surged 4% to 3,915. Similarly, the Mid-cap and Small-cap indexes have gained 20% (574 points) and 22% (up 715 points) in the last seven days.
