Sensex pares early gains; Satyam, Jaiprakash weak

The NSE Nifty is up two points at 4,094.

Reliance Communications has rallied nearly 2% to Rs 444. HDFC Bank has gained 1.8% at Rs 1,052.

ICICI Bank and HDFC have moved up 1.3% each to Rs 626 and Rs 2,095, respectively.

ONGC and Grasim are up 1% each at Rs 953 and Rs 1,740, respectively.

Jaiprakash Associates and Satyam have plunged 3.7% each to Rs 155 and Rs 369, respectively.

Ranbaxy, Reliance Infrastructure and DLF have tumbled 3% each to Rs 424, Rs 830 and Rs 444, respectively.

Hindalco and Infosys have shed 1.5% each at Rs 140 and Rs 1,527, respectively.

 

Tata Motors abd Bharti Airtel are down 1% each at Rs 416 and Rs 794, respectively.
