Sensex surges 89pts; Maruti zooms 3.5%

The Sensex has rallied to a high of 10,077, and is now up 89 points at 10,070.

Dr.Reddy's is up 3.6%  at Rs 1,333, and Cipla has gained 3.2% at Rs 546.

Maruti has zoomed 3.5% to Rs 788.

Grasim has surged 3% to Rs 1,665. Satyam (Rs 759), Wipro (Rs 510) and Tata Steel (Rs 394) have spurted over 2% each.

ACC, ONGC, Infosys, HLL, Tata Motors, HDFC, Reliance, TCS and Gujarat Ambuja are up 1-2% each.

HDFC Bank is down nearly 3% at Rs 721. BHEL has shed 2% to Rs 1,826.

Out of 2,501 stocks traded so far, 1,675 have declined, 767 have advanced and 59 are unchanged.
