TVS Motor Company has surged nearly 7% to Rs 292 on the NSE after the two-wheeler maker reported 14% year-on-year (y-o-y) increase in total sales at 274,622 units in October 2015, the highest sales growth in past six months. The company had sold 241,044 units in the same month last year.
Earlier, in April 2015, the company had reported 14% y-o-y jump in total sales.
Total two-wheeler sales for the month grew 14% to 264,112 units as against 231,990 units in October 2014, TVS Motor Company said in a statement.
At 09:44 AM, the stock was up 6% at Rs 290 on the NSE. A combined 4.41 million shares changed hands on the counter on the NSE and BSE.
