World steel demand to rise 3.2% in 2013

The World Steel Association has predicted that the global apparent steel use will rise 2.1 per cent in 2012, lower than the 6.2 per cent growth achieved in 2011. In 2013, world steel demand will grow 3.2 per cent and reach a record high of 1.45 billion tonnes.
