60-yr-old Delhi tourist found dead in Panjim hotel

A 60-year-old tourist from Delhi was reportedly found murdered in a room Swapna hotel in Panjim in Goa on Monday morning.

Hotel staff, who found the body around 8.15 am, immediately informed police.

Panjim Police Inspector Siddhant Shirodakar said, "The victim, who was tied with clothes, would have died of asphyxiation."

The victim has been identified as Virender Kumar.

However, the motive behind the murder is yet to be ascertained.

Preliminary inquiry suggested that the victim was strangled with a bed sheet by the assailants.

All the suspects were captured in a CCTV camera of the hotel.
