Defence Minister Arun Jaitley today said that the Indian Army is prepared to answer the continuous ceasefire violations by Pakistani troops.
The Pakistani Army continued to violate ceasefire for the fourth consecutive day in R.S. Pura sector of Jammu and Kashmir since Monday , instilling fear among the villagers living along the international border.
"Whenever ceasefire is violated from across the border, our army will take appropriate and necessary action," said Jaitley.
Security expert Alok Bansal had said that the reason Pakistan was creating tension along the Line Of Control (LOC) was to divert the attention of its citizens from the ongoing internal turmoil.
Bansal told ANI, "There is a political turmoil in Pakistan, supporters of Imran Khan's Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf and cleric Tahirul Qadri have entered the secured Red Zone of Islamabad during early hours of Wednesday demanding PM Nawaz Sharif's resignation. So, it has become important for the Pakistan Government to divert the attention of the people from internal matters.".
There has been a series of ceasefire violations from across the border since the past two months.
