Australian Open: Paes-Hingis march into mixed doubles quarters

Indian tennis ace Leander Paes and his Swiss partner Martina Hingis booked their place in the quarter-finals of the season-opening Australian Open after clinching a comfortable straight sets victory in the mixed doubles event here on Monday.
The unseeded Indo-Swiss pair remained in possession throughout the match as they took just 54 minutes to get the better of Australian duo of Matt Reid and Casey Dellacqua in a one-sided second-round contest on Rod Laver Arena.
Paes and Hingis will now face the winner of another second round match between Samantha Stosur-Samuel Groth and Darija Jurak-Jean-Julien Rojer for a place in the semi-finals.
Meanwhile, Indian tennis ace Rohan Bopanna and his Canadian partner Gabriela Dabrowski of Canada will also aim to book their place in the last-eight when they take on Taiwanese-Polish team of Chan Yung-jan and Lukasz Kubot on Tuesday.
