Music icon Prince recently passed away at the age of 57. His body was discovered at his Paisley Park compound in Minnesota early Thursday morning.
Shocked over the news of the singer's demise, B-town took to the micro-blogging site Twitter and shared tribute for him.
Superstar Shah Rukh Khan wrote, "Y do v scream at each other.this is wot it sounds like when doves cry. Memories entwined in his songs. RIP Purple 1 formerly known as Prince."
Sharing one of Prince's quotes, actor Hrithik Roshan tweeted, "#RIP Prince. U were actually the King. Thank you for being a friend in good n bad times to millions."
Meanwhile, Priyanka Chopra shared the 'Do Me, Baby' hit-makers Super Bowl Halftime performance and wrote, "U owned it.. And the world.. RIP #Prince."
Actress Shruti Hasan wrote, "RIP prince Thankyou for your awesome talent and genius - rock on wherever you are."
Other celebrities including Rahul Bose, Madhur Bhandarkar, Gautam Gulati, Sajid Khan, Shruti Seth and Sophie Choudry also paid their tribute to the legendary singer.
The reason for Prince's death has not been revealed yet.
