Taking a jibe at Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi for his statement that he is ready to take any responsibility given by his party, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Tuesday said Gandhi is going to be declared as the prime ministerial candidate by his party because of his family connection.

BJP spokesperson Ravi Shankar Prasad ridiculed Rahul Gandhi, and said that the Congress Party cannot think beyond the family.

"Well, Rahul Gandhi making this comment is laughable. He is going to be declared as the PM candidate by his party because of his family connection, as the Congress Party cannot think beyond the family," he told media here today.
