BSF seizes 18 kgs heroin in Punjab

The Border Security Force, in an encounter with Pakistani smugglers, has seized 18 kilograms of heroin in the in the Dera Baba Nanak Sector in Gurdaspur district of Punjab.
According to reports, personnel on duty noticed an infiltration bid. Upon shouting a warning, the suspects began to fire. The BSF troops retaliated, following which the suspects fled.
The heroin is reportedly worth Rs 90 crore in the international market. Apart from the drugs, some ammunition was also seized.
