A Chinese delegation in Kathmandu on Monday evaded questions on their country building dams on the Brahmaputra in Tibet.
"We hope that the SAARC Summit is a successful one," said Chinese Vice-Minister Liu Zhen when asked about the same.
Earlier today, China has announced that it has completed a major hydropower dam on the Brahmaputra, called Yarlung Zangbo, in Tibet.
The dam is bound to enhance fears in India and Bangladesh about flash floods and related risks like landslides involving lives of millions of people downstream.
