Chinese President Xi Jinping left for Beijing on Friday after a successful three-day visit to India during which Prime Minister Narendra Modi raised serious concerns over the repeated incidents of incursions along the Line of Actual Control and sought an early settlement of the boundary question.
Union Human Resource and Development (HRD) Smriti Irani and other top Indian officials were present at the Technical Airport of Palam here to see the Chinese President and her wife off.
The Chinese President, who was accompanied by his wife Peng Liyuan, shook hands with the officials and waved at the media prior to their departure.
Earlier in the day, President Xi met former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh, Congress president Sonia Gandhi and Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi.

India and China signed 12 agreements for expanding cooperation in trade and commerce, railways, health and culture during the Chinese President's state visit to India.
The agreements were signed after delegation-level talks between Prime Minister Modi and the Chinese President at Hyderabad House in New Delhi yesterday.
