Court defers hearing in Zia Charitable Trust graft case till Jan. 12

A Dhaka court has deferred the hearing in the Zia Charitable Trust graft case filed against Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) chairperson Khaleda Zia and fixed January 12 as the next date.
Special Judge Court-3 Justice Abu Ahmed Jamadar passed the order in response to a time petition filed by Khaleda's lawyer Sanaullah Mia, reports Dhaka Tribune.
Khaleda appeared before the court today in connection with the graft case, which was filed by the Anti-Corruption Commission's Deputy Director Harun-or-Rashid with the Tejgaon police station on August 8, 2011.
