With less than 48 hours for Delhi to go to polls, West Bengal Chief Minister and Trinamool Congress (TMC) chief Mamata Banerjee on Thursday urged the people of the national capital to vote for Arvind Kejriwal-led Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in the assembly elections.

"Delhi elections on 7. My request to all of you in Delhi to please vote for AAP. For the greater need of the country and development in Delhi," she tweeted.

Meanwhile, the campaigning for assembly polls will end this evening. In the last leg of campaigning, leaders from all political parties are leaving no stone unturned to woo the voters.

The BJP, Congress and AAP leaders are holding public meetings and road shows in various constituencies to bring the voters in their fold.

The elections for the 70-member Delhi Assembly will be held in a single phase on February 7. The counting of votes will take place on February 10.
