French PM Valls says country at war with terrorism, extremism but not Muslims

The Prime Minister of France Manuel Valls has said that the country is at war with terrorism and extremism but not with Muslims following the Paris shootings last week.
According to BBC, Valls said that the gunmen who killed 17 people in Paris last week wanted to destroy the "spirit of France" but they had failed.
His statements came after the funeral of the seven of the people who died in last week's massacre in the French capital.
Charlie's Hebdo's depiction of the Prophet Muhammed are said to have prompted the attacks that killed 12 people including the magazine's editor and four other cartoonists.
