Gatlin tested 59 times for doping post comeback

American sprinter Justin Gatlin, who was suspended from 2006 to 2010 after failing a second drug test, has undergone doping test for 59 times, conducted by US Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) since his return.

According to the figures released by USADA, the 2004 Olympic 100m gold medallist has already been tested nine times this season. In 2014, he had taken 15 tests, 14 in 2013, 13 in 2012 and eight in 2011, Sport24 reported.

After his suspension for the use of testosterone, the 33-year-old officially returned to competition on August 3, 2010, with no further tests being conducted that season.

Gatlin has been a controversial figure since returning from his second ban in 2011, but his stunning times the last year had provoked fury from many fans and rivals.
