Gerard Butler and his Romanian model girlfriend Madalina Ghenea, who were in a relationship for almost a year, have now separated.

The declaration of split comes just a few weeks after Ghenea declared that she goes for "bad boys" and the 43-year-old declaring that he wanted to settle down with her, the Sun reported.

The couple started dating a year ago after Ghenea separated Leonardo DiCaprio.
