Manchester United assistant manager Ryan Giggs is all set to end his 29-year association with the Premier League club as he has rejected an offer of a reduced role given by new manager Jose Mourinho.
According to a leading English daily, the Welshman's representatives are reportedly in negotiations with his boyhood club over a pay-off for the final year of his contract, Sport24 reported.
Giggs, who ended his playing career in 2014, was earlier tipped as the club's future manager, but is now likely to look for a role with another club.
The 42-year-old, who played 963 times after joining United as a 14-year-old, had also worked as an interim manager at Old Trafford after the then-manager David Moyes was sacked in 2014.
