Launching a scathing attack on Lalu Prasad Yadav for calling Prime Minister Narendra Modi a Non Resident Indian, Minister of State for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) Giriraj Singh on Wednesday alleged that the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) supremo is a 'funny minister' in politics.

The senior BJP leader from Bihar said the opposition is not able to digest the country's growing prestige.

"He does not know himself what he keeps on saying. Lalu Yadav is a 'funny minister' in politics, he is known for his funny statements," he said.

Taking a jibe at Prime Minister Modi's ongoing three-nation visit, Lalu had earlier on Tuesday quipped that the former had become a Non Resident Indian.

"He is not the Prime Minister of the country anymore, he has become an NRI and the media is portraying that Modi's popularity is booming abroad when there is trouble at our borders," Lalu told the media in Ranchi.

He also lashed out at the BJP-led government's promise to bring back black money stashed in safe havens abroad within 100 days of coming to power.

The former Bihar chief minister had also condemned the 'Swacch Bharat Abhiyan' and dubbed it as an excuse for a photo opportunity.
