Gunman kills police officer, woman in US state of Louisiana

A gunman in southeastern US state of Louisiana shot dead a police officer and fatally stabbed a woman, said officials.

According to Fox News, the suspect was identified as 35-year old Harrison Riley Jr.

Riley was arrested two hours after he crashed into a convenience store about three blocks away, barricading himself in an office.

SWAT team members lobbed tear gas and "C-gas" into the convenience store building, then broke in using hammers and fire axes.
