An Indian national was arrested from the F-8 area of Islamabad on Sunday, over allegedly possessing inadequate travel documents.

A case has been filed against him under Article 14 of the Foreign Act.

The Indian national has been sent to 14-day judicial remand, according to Samaa TV reports.

The incident has taken place amid the atmosphere of escalated tension between India and Pakistan following the stay on the execution of alleged Indian spy and former Indian Navy officer Kulbhushan Jadhav by the International Court of Justice.

Following this, Pakistan said that it was not bound by the decision.

India had dragged Pakistan to the ICJ over its charges of "espionage and subversive activities" on Jadhav.
