Hosts Chile progressed to the Copa America semi-finals with a 1-0 win over defending champions Uruguay, thanks to a late strike from Mauricio Isla.
Following a goalless first-half, Isla scored the decisive goal from 16 yards in the 81st minute, the BBC reported.
The game, which descended into a bad tempered contest with scuffles between both side's players, also witnessed Edinson Cavani and Jorge Fucile being sent-off for their respective second cautions.
Chile will next square-off against the winners of Friday's match between Bolivia and Peru to book a berth in the final.
Meanwhile, Argentina will face Colombia on Saturday and Brazil will meet Paraguay on Sunday for their respective quarter-final contests.
