Israeli PM pledges to continue military operations against Gaza militants

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has pledged to continue military operations against Gaza militants while fighting persists between the two sides.

Israeli military launched 92 airstrikes against Gaza on Wednesday.

Gaza had fired 137 rockets into the Israeli territory earlier, reports the BBC.

Israel and Gaza blame each other for the failure of peace talks in Cairo while Egypt said that it would continue to try to secure a ceasefire.

The United Nations Security Council has expressed concern over hostilities and urged the parties to start negotiations to reach a lasting ceasefire.
