Jamia Hamdard Univ Chancellor conferred with Sir Ross Masood Lifetime Achievement Award

Saiyid Hamid, the Chancellor of Jamia Hamdard and former Vice Chancellor of Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), was today conferred the "Sir Ross Masood Lifetime Achievement Award for Excellence in Leadership, Education, Community and Public Service-2014" by M. Hamid Ansari, Vice President of India.

Vice President Ansari also presented a citation for award and an award cheque to Saiyid Hamid.

"Aligarh Muslim University Alumini Associations have been functional worldwide and he himself launched the UAE chapter of AMU Alumini Association," said Vice President Ansari.

He also said that Saiyid Hamid has played a very important and significant role for many decades in the field of education and it is of very much importance that Aligarh Muslim University Association Inc. New York (AAANY) has unanimously selected to honour him.

 

The award has been established by Aligarh Muslim University Association Inc. New York (AAANY) with the objective of making a very modest contribution by recognizing truly outstanding individuals during their lifetimes, who are selflessly dedicated their lives as leaders and educators, and in the service of the community and public at large.
