Jeremy Clarkson's effigy likely to be 'burnt' during famous bonfire party

Jeremy Clarkson's effigy could be burned at the stakes during world-famous Guy Fawkes party by the Edenbridge Bonfire Society.

The BBC presenter has been chosen as the "favourite" following a string of controversies he has found himself embroiled in, the Daily Express reported.

William Hill dubbed him as the top pick to be the Edenbridge "guy" at the Edenbridge Bonfire Society's annual event in Kent.

The 54-year-old could join a hall of shame alongside Saddam Hussein and Jimmy Savile.

Although organisers refused to confirm whether Clarkson would be the celebrity Guy, he remains the top pick at 4-1 with former England cricketer Pietersen and Scottish politician Alex Salmond tied second with 6-1.
