Shia LaBeouf and Jesse Eisenberg may take the roles in the upcoming Warner Bros film 'Arms and the Dudes.'
According to the Hollywood Reporter, director Todd Phillips, who had wanted the actors to star in the comedy film, would helm the project, produce it under his Green Hat Films banner, as well as co-write the script with Jason Smilovic.
The project is based on Guy Lawson's 'Rolling Stone' article, in which two stoners from Miami Beach ended up becoming arms dealers for the U.S. government.
Mark Gordon would also produce the movie, while Bryan Zuriff executive produces and Jesse Ehrman and Jon Gonda oversee the project for Warner Bros.
