Jharkhand police recover seven sacks of detonators

Police has detained the driver of an SUV and recovered seven sacks of detonators in Jharkhand.

Acting on specific information, the SUV was intercepted at Jarmundi area of Dumka district and the detonators were recovered.

According to police officer, Mahesh Prasad Singh, the SUV driver who tried to flee the spot is now under interrogation.

"Seven plastic sacks have been recovered. These are detonators used for explosion," said Singh.

The detonators were being illegally transported to Sarasdangal area of Dumka district.

Earlier last week, the police had also recovered a quintal of powder explosive from Gumla district.
