Father of late American pop star Michael Jackson (MJ), Joseph is spending his last days in a hospital.
According to TMZ, Joseph, who is suffering from terminal cancer, had earlier decided to spend the final stages of his life in Las Vegas but that has not happened.
Over the years, Joseph, 89, has suffered from a variety of ailments, including dementia, strokes, and at least one heart attack.
He was also injured in a car accident a year ago.
Joseph took to Twitter and compared the death to a sunset and termed it as inevitable.

He tweeted, "I have seen more sunsets than I have left to see. The sun rises when the time comes and whether you like it or not the sun sets when the time comes."
People close to the Jackson family said that it is now a waiting game since nobody knows when the ominous hour would arrive.
Father of 11 children, Jackson drove his performing family hard and at times, subjected them to physical and mental abuse.
