Kejriwal thanks people of Delhi for support

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief Arvind Kejriwal on Saturday thanked people of Delhi for their support and hoped that the result of the assembly polls is in accordance with the exit poll results.

Two out of the three exit polls have predicted an outright win for the AAP in the Delhi assembly elections.

"My gratitud 2 Delhiites for their support. U r so amazing.U rejcted politics of caste n religion.Hope final results r as per exit polls," said Kejriwal in a tweet.

Kejriwal also expressed gratitude towards the AAP workers for their hard work.

"My sincere thnks n congratulations to all selfless volunteers of AAP, who worked round the clock for their country. AAP is bcoz of u," he added.

 

67.08 percent voter turnout was recorded in the polling for the 70-member Delhi assembly which began at 8 a.m. amid tight security.

About 55,000 police personnel have been deployed to ensure hassle free voting. The police will also undertake patrolling in different parts of the capital to prevent the distribution of liquor, money or any other allurements.

Over 1.33 crore electorate will decide the fate of 673 candidates.
