The Budget Session of the Lok Sabha, which was earlier scheduled to conclude on May 8, has been extended for three working days till May 13.

The decision was taken by the Cabinet Committee on Parliamentary Affairs, chaired by Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh on Thursday evening.

Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs Rajiv Pratap Rudy said that the decision was taken in view of some important legislations pending before the House.

"It has been decided to extend the Parliament for the next three days, that is Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday," Rudy told the media here.

Earlier in the day, the Lok Sabha passed the Constitution 119th Amendment Bill on the Land Boundary Agreement between India and Bangladesh. The Bill was unanimously passed by the Rajya Sabha on Wednesday with 180 votes in favour and zero against it.
