The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is reportedly yet to pay 25,000 dollars in consultation fees to new Cricket South Africa (CSA) chief executive Haroon Lorgat, whom the board hired as a consultant for the shelved Pakistan Super League (PSL).

According to the Express Tribune, despite the efforts of former PCB chairman Mohammad Zaka Ashraf, the lucrative Twenty20 tournament, which was a move to bring back international cricket to Pakistan, was called off even before it began, although it left behind unpaid financial dues.

The report further said that although Ashraf had hired former ICC chief Lorgat as a consultant for the PSL, his appointment failed to come into fruition after the mega-event was called off, and the board now has 25,000 dollars due to Lorgat as his consultation fees.

However, a PCB source said that the governing body will now try to settle this amount with Lorgat or pay him the full 25,000 dollars and has authorized caretaker chairman Najam Sethi to look into the issue.
