Malekudiya case: Law Minister Sadananda Gowda's nephew arrested

The police arrested Pradeep Gowda, nephew of Union Law Minister D V Sadananda Gowda, here on Saturday in connection with the Malekudiya hand chopping case.

On July 26, one Gopala Gowda had attacked a tribal, Sundara Malekudiya, with a grass cutting machine in Karnataka's Belthangady region. The incident had left Malekudiya's left hand severely damaged, he had also lost thumb and some other fingers.

Gopala Gowda was on the run for sometime after the incident, but was eventually caught in Andhra Pradesh.
