Messi hits 400-goal milestone as Barca beat Valencia 2-0 in La Liga tie

Barcelona talisman Lionel Messi reached his 400th goal milestone for the club as he helped his side claim a convincing 2-0 win over Valencia in their La Liga tie on Saturday night.

Luis Suarez gave the Catalan giants an early lead in the first minute from a well-worked pass from Messi.

Subsequently, the Argentina forward doubled the lead as he scored his landmark goal in stoppage time, the BBC reported.

With the win, Barca are two points clear at the top of the table while title rivals Real stay second on 76 points.
