England skipper Eoin Morgan has claimed that his side's 'self-destruction', not the fear of Mitchell Johnson, was the reason behind their heavy loss to Australia in the Mid-Carlton Tri-series final in Perth.

Making his international comeback, Australian pace spearhead Johnson claimed three wickets as Australia won the Tri-series by 112 runs.

Morgan said that he didn't think Johnson was the biggest threat, adding that they pushed the self-destruct button, the BBC reported.

Reflecting on team's overall performance, he further said that he was happy with the series as a whole, adding that despite the final loss they had made big inroads, and getting to the final was an achievement in itself, the report added.

England will open their World Cup campaign against Australia on February 14 in Melbourne.
