Mourinho says season for 'Man City to lose' despite major signings

Blues boss Jose Mourinho has said that winning the title this season will be one of his best achievements, even as Man City signs many players in the squad.

The Mirror reports that Mourinho has praised Manuel Pellegrini's 100 million pounds summer signings.

However, he claimed ripping the crown from Pelligrini's grasp would represent his best managerial achievement.

City have already landed Brazilian midfielder Fernadinho, Spanish pair Jesus Navas and Alvaro Negredo and Montenegrin schemer Stevan Jovetic to bolster the squad built by Roberto Mancini, the report added.

Mourinho is still confident of signing Wayne Rooney before deadline day cranked up the pre-season pressure.
